An Almost Perfect Small Printer Scanner

If you’re in search of a small printer scanner that can deliver in many ways, you won’t have to look very far. I’m going to give you the answer right here. And before I give you the answer, I want you to know that I do not work for Canon. I simply get excited about good printers and scanners for some reason. I don’t want that excitement to be taken the wrong way. My job is to inform you on the best printer models available, regardless of the brand name.

The small printer scanner I’d like to mention here is the Canon BJC-80 Portable Printer. It’s advertised as being ideal for travel and that statement is accurate. In addition to having an optional scanning attachment – the IS-12 Color Image Scanner Cartridge – you will also have the option of purchasing a rechargeable battery. You might look at these options and think of extra charges, but please don’t think that way. These options, or add-ons, are very cheap and will make an enormous difference in regards to your enjoyment and appreciation of the BJC-80. Even if you don’t choose to purchase the options, this is one of the few standard portable printers that come in such a small package. Its dimensions are 11.8 x 6.2 x 2.1 inches and it weighs only 3.1 lbs. This is the lightest non-direct thermal portable printer I have seen. And that’s saying a lot.

The BJC-80 uses Drop Modulation Technology, which give you excellent text and color. There is also a 30-sheet input tray, which is a nice convenience. Speaking of convenience, this model comes with a black carrying case that snaps shut with ease. It also has infrared capability, meaning that you can print from PCs, laptops, digital cameras, mobile phones, and other handheld devices without wires. This will allow you to print from almost anywhere.

There is a lot more to learn about the BJC-80, but you should also know that Canon recently came out with the BJC-85. It might cost a little more, but the technology has been upgraded.
