It delivers brilliant color prints, great for presentations, brochures, flyers and other business documents. Prints and copies at 17 ppm in both black and color, with maximum print resolution of 600 x 2400 dpi.
It offers black and color scanning, as well as faxing. It has PC fax sending and receiving. Features
The Brother MFC 9120CN can print up to 17 pages per minute black and color. For a multifunction printer, it isn’t a bad number. If you’re looking to print in high volume, this is more than enough. It has a 250-sheet input paper tray capacity but can also be a single sheet manual bypass slot. It is compatible with both the Windows and Mac Operating systems. The maximum monthly duty cycle is up to 25,000 pages, but the recommended monthly print volume is from 300 to 1,500 pages.
Copy
This all-in-one printer can copy in black and color, and can accommodate up to 35 sheets on the automatic document feeder. It features reduction and enlargement of documents from 25% to 400%. One special function that is included is its automatic sorting of your copies for multiple -page copying. You may copy documents of up to A4 glass size.
Scan
Scans in black and color up to 19,200 x 19,200 dpi maximum interpolated resolution, which can improve or degrade the original, making the image appear as if on higher resolution. Optical scan resolution is up to 1200 x 2400 dpi. You get a software package for the proper administration of the function with the ScanSoft Paperport® SE with OCR for Windows® and the Presto® PageManager® for the Mac. File formats on export after scanning include TIFF, BMP, MAX, JPG, and PDF.
Fax
The MFC 9120CN has the capacity to send or receive faxes in black or color, with the best transmission speed of approximately 2 seconds per page, that operates through a 33.6 kbps modem. Can also do a quick scan for memory transmission in approximately 2.5 seconds per page. When out of paper, it is also set to receive faxes with the files stored in its memory that has a capacity of up to 600 pages. Has the Caller ID function as well as a distinctive ring ready. Can store up to 208 auto dial locations.

The Brother MFC 9120CN measures (W” x D” x H”) 16.9″ x 19.3″ x 15.7″, and weighs 50.5 lbs. It has quite a compact footprint with its space-saving design that it can virtually fit in any environment.

If it’s attached only to a USB, it will not share. Same user who had this problem had worked out that this may be resolved using the CD install process on each PC. May take some time up to a couple of days but once resolved, everything was all setup and running smoothly.
Generally, people who purchased the product are happy and satisfied with it, and reported that the printer rates high in ease of use, and print quality, and that the scanning is extremely easy. One downside is the cost of toner but of course this is all dependent on usage. Most suitable for a small business use, where speed and noise levels are acceptable.

In a Nutshell
Mixed opinions notwithstanding, the Brother MFC-9120CN provides print speeds that are more than good enough for any type of office environment, but is recommended for small and medium size offices. While this is a mid-range product, it contains certain features that are typically found on higher end products. A ‘jack of all trades’ that you can rely on.
