It comes with many useful features and statistics that are competitive with the much more expensive printers. Above all for a printer copier and scanner it’s available at a great price.

This does not reflect poor quality at all. In fact it is made partly from recycled plastics and is fairly attractive to look at and for the price it has many useful features and is on par with more expensive printers on the market.

Features

The HP F4480 prints up to 28 black and white pages per minute and up to 22 color pages per minute. A 4 x 6 inch print without a border will print in 29 seconds. The copying and scanning functions included in this printer also perform very well and deliver more than you would expect. It has a duty cycle of 3000 pages per month.

The print resolution is 600 x 600 dpi black and 4800 x 1200 dpi color. The scans can reach a resolution as high as 1200 x 2400 dpi and you can scan documents up to 8.5 x 11.7 inches. It is capable of copying nine copies at once and is able to increase the size of a copy from 25% to 200%.

Another feature of the HP DeskJet F4480 is called the Smart Web Printing, which allows you to select content from several web pages and print it onto one piece of paper. There is an average size 80-sheet paper input tray and an ink-level indicator that will remind you when your ink is getting low.

You can make prints of photos from panorama to borderless sizes with a maximum borderless size of 8.5 x 11 inches. The HP F4480 will save you paper, money, and time if you utilize the paper-saving option when printing. Can the HP DeskJet F4480 print on both sides of the paper? Yes! Using the paper-saving option will allow you to print on both sides.

Consumers should be aware that this printer does not come with a USB cable. You may already be aware that is not unusual if you have purchased a HP DeskJet printer in the past.

Apparently, this printer model also does not operate as seamlessly with a Mac operating system as it does with Windows. Those two issues aside, this seems to be one of the unbeatable models available from HP.

This printer is very simple to use, easy to install, and the buttons for copying, scanning, and printing are easy to identify and use. Thanks to the ink-level indicator, you will always know when it is time to stock up on your ink supply.

Using the HP Smart Web Printing option, you will save on both ink and paper costs. Before printing web pages, you can even add personal notes. The ability to print fabulous looking borderless photos is also a plus. The printer also comes with a limited one-year warranty and toll-free telephone support is just a phone call away.

The HP F4480, crafted from 50% recycled plastic, is also energy efficient, and allows you the opportunity to save money, paper, and energy. If you would like to have prints that are high quality, high-resolution scans, and clear, crisp, copies, then your next printer should be the HP DeskJet F4480.

They are no longer manufactured by HP but they are still easy to find. They can be found on Amazon for as little as $60 new and used models at $30.

Other Models That Match

In fact, HP has a whole series with identical specifications with the 4400 series of
printer/copier/scanners, but only the following are still available in the market: The HP Deskjet F4435, which is available on Amazon new at $77, and used at around $50; and the HP Deskjet F4440, likewise available on Amazon at around $80 new, and used at $50.

Taken from a search at time of writing this article but always check as many models become available on Amazon as it is constantly updated and what is not available today could well become available tomorrow. All of these all-in-one printers have identical specs to the featured F4480.

All the listed models are ideal for home users, and naturally enough the price will reflect the quality but frankly for the standard they produce they are all a bargain especially for those that require documents more than Photo prints. But for a all in one DeskJet printer, within this price range the photo print quality isn’t bad at all.

Reviews are not available on all these models but the featured F4480 is well reviewed and make sure you check some over before you buy. There is a little dismay expressed at the ink economy but this is nothing new with DeskJets.

Simple to use and fairly reliable this is a good choice of all-in-one DeskJet printer.
