Canon iP100 – Mobile Printing Excellence

Canon Pixma ip100 Mobile PrinterLooking for a printer that can be taken anywhere? Look no further. The Canon iP100 has all the features people on the go are seeking.

Canon iP100 has no competition when it comes to the printing quality of mobile printers. The redesigned cartridge system features 1,856 nozzles compared to only 1,072 nozzles in the leading competitor’s model. This gives the iP100 an amazing 9600 x 2400 dpi in color and 600 x 600 dpi in black. The specialized nozzles allow the iP100 to create ink drops as small as 1 picoliter.

People looking at the Canon iP100 as a mobile photo printer will be highly impressed with its ability to touchup skin tones and faces in photos through the use of its Easy-PhotoPrint Ex software. The ability to connect devices through the USB 2.0 port, PictBridge port, and the infrared port makes this printer compatible with most mobile devices. For those seeking wireless printing capabilities, for $50, Canon will include a Blue Tooth device that plugs into the USB port.

What would a mobile printer be without speed? Canon iP100 can print a 4×6 borderless photo in less than 50 seconds. Text files print at even faster speeds – 14 pages per minute (PPM) in color and 20 PPM in black, making the Canon iP100 the printer to go to when speed is an issue.

While quality, accessories, and speed are all important, they do not mean much if the printer is not easily mobile. The Canon iP100 weighs in at only 4.4 pounds. Although it is larger than the last model, at 2.4 inches tall, 12.7 inches wide, and 7.2 inches deep, it is still smaller than its closest competitor.

When looking at mobile printers we cannot overlook the importance of battery life. The Canon iP100 can print an outstanding 290 sheets before needing another power source. For those who are afraid that this is not enough battery life Canon has an optional car adapter and rechargeable battery kit.
