If you’re familiar with printers then you know it’s not like it used to be. About two decades ago, you bought any printer because they all did the same thing. Now, with the technology having advanced in such a short period of time, and to stay up or ahead with the competition, you’re going to need a printer that specifically fits your needs. For example, if you need a printer that is just printing text, you don’t want to spend extra money on a high resolution, color capable printer. Even if you need color copies, you can’t just choose any printer capable of making color copies. These days, these machines can do all sorts of different things. For now, let’s focus on the Canon Pixma 7600 and its features.

To get right to the point, the Canon Pixma 7600 is best suited for someone with a small home office. It’s not the type of printer you want to use in a high pressure, fast paced, corporate setting. While one of this printer’s greatest features is speed, printing up to 28 pages per minute, it takes a little too long to get going to fit in the kind of environment.
If you have a home office and need a printer that is capable of printing, faxing, copying and scanning, and is easy to setup and use, then the Canon Pixma 7600 will most likely be a good option for you. Its other basic features are 4800 x 1200 dpi printing, a built-in automatic direct feed and duplexer, a 1.8 inch color liquid crystal display, an advanced PgR ink system, and the ability to print directly from some memory cards or cameras.
As stated earlier, the one negative is that it is slow to start up when beginning the printing process. Once it’s going, it flies, but waiting to get to that stage can be frustrating at times. Think of it as like waiting for your computer to start up so you can get work done. The good news is that this seems to be the only real fault with the Canon Pixma 7600, which is much better than most printers.
The Canon Pixma 7600 also has great color accuracy, a five color ink system, laser quality texts, an automatic document feeder that can hold up to 35 documents at once, and the ability to print a 4 x 6 photo in less than 45 seconds. It’s also a great printer option if you’re dealing with large documents.
For convenience, there is no need to manually flip a two-sided original. The duplexing feature takes car of that for you. You can also print from memory cards, a camcorder, camera phone, or digital camera.
User Review #1: Speed is the name of the game with the Canon Pixma 7600. Every time I use it, I feel like I’m winding up a machine on caffeine. Once it gets going, it can bang out copies faster than any machine I’ve ever used. Based on my needs, that’s all I’m looking for. I am pleased and would recommend it.
User Review #2: The Canon Pixma 7600 does everything it says it will do. It prints fast, is easy to use, and offers convenience. However, the selling point for me was that it qualifies for Energy Star status. It uses less energy than most machines and cuts down greenhouse emissions. That’s what’s most important to me.
