The Canon Pixma ip100 is best suited for professionals that travel often and need to do business on the road. Obviously, having the ability to print on the spot, whether in an office or on the beach, will give you a huge advantage over your competition. The Canon Pixma ip100 is a perfect option. It’s a portable printer that has received tremendous compliments on how compact it is. It’s a great fit for those who like to travel small.
As far as quality goes, you will be getting a 5-color ink system, print head technology, and 9600 x 2400dpi resolution. Based on these stats, you obviously don’t lose any quality just because it’s a portable machine.
When it comes to speed, a 4 x 6 borderless print will take around 50 seconds. This is slightly below the industry standard. You will be losing some speed. However, if an extra 12 seconds is going to make a difference in your business dealings, you might need a lot more help than a great printer.
There are a few negatives for the Canon Pixma ip100. One is the price. At $250, you’re spending more money than average. Whether this is truly a negative depends on the person. If you’re willing to pay a little extra for a printer that is extremely compact and can offer high quality, then the extra money shouldn’t be an issue. However, if you don’t need something compact or are just looking for standard quality copies, then this isn’t the machine for you. Other negatives are that the ink supply seems to run out quicker than with most machines. Also, some customers have stressed that they would have been happier if the Bluetooth had been built in. This printer has an optional BU-30 Bluetooth interface.
There are some other positive features for the Canon Pixma ip100. It can print from a PC, PDA, digital camera or camera phone. It contains auto fix image technology, which means it can adjust brightness, exposure, color and contrast on its own. You also have the option of purchasing a Canon car adapter and rechargeable battery kit. Of course, this will depend on where you spend the majority of your time.
User Review #1: I’m a consultant and constantly on the move. Traveling is difficult. At least the Canon Pixma ip100 makes things a little easier for me. I can print documents from pretty much anywhere in the world. The only problem is that now I’m spoiled and if I’m without it, I feel lost. With all the technology I carry, I fear I might be a robot by the time I’m a senior citizen.
User Review #2: Okay, I admit it, I’m a Bluetooth guy. Sorry, but that’s what my business calls for. Actually, owning my own business calls for a lot of things, and the Canon Pixma ip100 makes feel as though I can stay slightly ahead of the competition. I don’t see any defects with it and didn’t care one bit about spending $250.
