The Canon Pixma mp620 sells for around $150. That’s slightly higher than the average price, but is well worth it. Just to give you a general idea, 180 people have reviewed this product and it still earned an average score of 4.5 out of 5. That is a very high score for a sampling of that many customers.

The biggest selling point for the Canon Pixma mp620, and the primary reason the price is $150, is because you can print wirelessly via Wi-Fi. You can also use an Ethernet cable to print from a computer in another room. In addition to those features, if you insert a memory card into a built-in slot, you can preview and enhance images by using a 2.5-inch LCD display. If you want to print directly from a digital camera or DV camcorder, as long as they’re PictBridge compatible, you can do that as well. Obviously, when it comes to features, the Canon Pixma mp620 delivers. This paragraph alone can justify the $150 price tag.

Let’s look at quality and speed. As far as quality goes, this model has a 5-color ink system, including 4 dye-based inks and 1 pigment-based ink. Not only does this lead to better quality, but you only have to replace the color that runs out, not an entire cartridge. Also, if you’re not into making adjustments for your photos, it will be done for you via the Auto Photo Fix feature. This is just another feature that leads to higher quality. If you want factual numbers, photo prints will reach resolution up to 9600 x 2400 color dpi and scans will reach resolution up to 2400 x 4800 color dpi. These are very solid numbers for photo prints and superb numbers for scans. When it comes to speed, a 4 x 6 borderless photo will take approximately 41 seconds, which is slightly faster than the industry average. The Quick Start feature will also ensure that the printer is up and running in a matter of seconds.

Finding negatives for the Canon Pixma mp620 is difficult, but there are a few. You should expect high ink consumption, a little bit more noise than most printers, and a setup that is a bit on the challenging side for novices.

User Review #1: I’m an avid photographer. This printer isn’t my primary source for prints, but I do use it when I’m away from home. So far, after several months of use, I’m very satisfied. The PictBridge compatibility and wireless capability have made things easier for me. – A Happy Canon Customer.

User Review #2: This printer delivers on almost everything it promises. The quality of the photos and scans are great. The speed is also very impressive for this type of printer. The only thing that doesn’t really add up is the start time. I don’t know anything about a few seconds to get started. It takes a while to warm up. But, I’m still very happy with it.
