HP DeskJet 320 – Sweet Memories
When it comes to buying older printers, it’s important to know what types of features they offer. You already know you will be getting a cheaper price, so it really comes down to your wants and needs. If you find the right printer for the right price, an older model printer can be an excellent investment. In many cases, the technology is not very different from today. We’re talking about a few years difference, not decades. It’s also important that you stick with trusted brand names. HP and Canon are good names to go with. They have both been around a while and usually offer excellent quality. In this review, we will be reviewing the hp deskjet 320.

It should be stated right away that there isn’t much information for the deskjet 320 online. You will get a ton of information on accessories, but not the model itself. This probably has a lot to do with the accessories still selling and the printer … not so much. I could only find one online retailer selling the deskjet 320 and it was for $250. Calling that a rip-off would be an understatement. There are most likely places somewhere in the online universe selling this model new for around $100 and used for around $50. That said, the effort and time required to find it might alone keep it from being a worthwhile investment. The information you read in this review will be partially factual and partially educated guesses. The latter will be based on very similar models.
As far as speed goes, the hp deskjet 320 prints 3 pages per minute in draft mode and 4 pages per minute color. This is very slow. It would be like a kid having to play Atari while everyone else is playing Wii. But, if you’re the patient type, or you really love the underdog, then the 320 can offer you some quality features. However, exceptional quality will not be one of them. The deskjet 320 can reach resolution of 600 x 300 dots per inch black and 300 x 300 dpi color. A better attribute is that this model can hold up to 100 papers at once. It can also handle various media sizes, including letter, legal, executive and A4.
There are a few negatives for the hp deskjet 320, which are pretty much the standard for deskjet printers. You should expect high ink consumption, paper jams and noise. Another negative is that this model doesn’t come with the USB cable. You must buy it on your own. If you’re buying new, then this can most likely be an issue. If you’re buying used, then the seller should already have possession of it and be willing to include it in the sale.

User Review #2: This is far from the greatest printer in the world, but if you only need light printing then it’s okay. If you buy the HP 25 ink cartridge (which is a compatible tri-color cartridge) you will get much better quality. It sells for around $17, but you can get a better deal if you buy in bulk.

The hp deskjet 320 is not one of hp’s best models. If you want something similar but with much better quality, check out the 340. If you’re adamant on buying the 320, it is best suited for very light printing, limited storage space situations, and travel.
