HP DeskJet 3620 – A Great Printer When On A Budget
If you’re looking for a used printer, then you have probably already figured out that it’s a good way to save a lot of money. That said, you should also make sure you’re getting a printer that is of decent quality and offers the features you need. There are many ways to find used printers, including eBay and Craigslist, but sometimes it’s better to go with a legit business opposed to a personal seller. That’s up to you. In this case, we will review the hp deskjet 3620. It’s not as old as most used printers (began selling in 2006) and it’s definitely a winner. The hp deskjet 3620 has received an average customer rating of 4 out of 5. This is high, especially for an older model. The best part is that you can find it for as low as $20 in some places. This is amazing to me, considering used printers of lesser quality are selling for around $35. Sometimes you stumble upon the right thing. If you’re looking for a used printer, you most likely stumbled upon the right review.
The deskjet 3620 uses a simple USB interface and is PC and Mac compatible. If you were to buy it new (still a possibility at some online sites, just don’t expect a $20 price tag), it comes with ink. This is a big bonus. In addition to that, the ink cartridges for this printer actually last a little while.
When it comes to speed, the deskjet 3620 can print 15 pages per minute black and 10 pages per minute color. Those are slightly below average numbers compared to today’s printers, and one of the few areas where the 3620 might lag. Also, dpi (black and color) at those speeds will only be 300. Otherwise, you will be getting resolution up to 4800 x 1200 color dpi and 1200 x 1200 black dpi. For maximum performance on borderless photos, consider 4 x 6.5 inch hp premium plus photo paper.
There are a lot of features for the hp deskjet 3620. The first two are standard deskjet features: onscreen print-cancel button and ink level indicator. There is also a 100-sheet fold-up paper tray. The Printer Assistant Software will lead you to links to an online user’s guide, as well as customer care and tools. If you purchase an hp photo cartridge, you can upgrade from a 4-ink system to a 6-ink system.
Most printers have at least a few negatives. That is not the case with the hp deskjet 3620. There is only one negative, which has nothing to do with performance. This negative is that it doesn’t come with a USB cable. You must buy it separately. This is obviously a marketing tactic. However, if you’re buying used, this most likely won’t be an issue. The seller will already have the USB cable.

I’m used to it. I think I got lucky buying this model. I hear a lot of negatives about other deskjet models.
