The HP DeskJet F4435 is an all-in-one machine, capable of printing, copying and scanning. It was first released in the market by HP in October of 2009. It is not available anymore at the HP Home and Home Office Store, and has since been replaced and upgraded by other versions, i.e. HP F4440 and HP F4480. However, you should still be able to find the F4435 via Amazon.com. New still sells at $76.99, while used is selling from $17.59.
The customer satisfaction ratings for this model have been solid, but not spectacular. It was given an overall 63/100 score or “Good” rating by alaTest reviews, reporting that many people were impressed by the value for money it provides, as well as its fairly good performance.
On Amazon.com, the most favorable review reported that it is not bad for the price, except that one should keep in mind the cost of ink. If it is not an issue, then the F4435 is a perfectly good all-in-one printer for personal/home use. Some reported unfortunate incidents of paper jamming, tri-color ink cartridge incompatibility, and having to waste half a cartridge in test printing while online with a HP customer support representative.
As long as the model isn’t a lemon, this often has a lot to do with whether or not the consumer bought a model that offers the features they want and/or need. For example, if you’re looking for bulk printing, you shouldn’t be purchasing an all-in-one. If an all-in-one is what you’re looking for, the F4435 can offer a lot.

Print speeds are up to a maximum of 24 pages per minute at a maximum resolution of 600 dpi for black, and 18 pages per minute at a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi for color. Photo printing is up to a maximum of 18 pages per minute. These numbers are high in terms of quality all-in-one printers.
Copy speeds and resolutions are similar to print speeds, with the added feature of reducing and increasing the size of your prints from 50% to 200%. Maximum size up to 8.5” x 14”. Scans up to an optical resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi at a maximum scan size from glass of 8.5” x 11.7“.
The HP DeskJet F4435 is a well-rounded machine. It offers excellent print quality and speed. It also offers convenience with features like an automatic paper type sensor and automatic document feeder that has an 80-sheet capacity. In addition to that, it can fit documents as large as 8.5 x 14 inches. The F4435 measures 6.4 x 17.2 x 11.5 inches and weighs 10.8 lbs.
