IP 100 printer-Portable Powerhouse

Canon has had many brilliant printer ideas in its history and it continues the tradition with the PIXMA ip 100 printer. This printer is a portable inkjet powerhouse that is powerful for the mobile professional. It is small. Lightweight but capable of producing photo grade pictures and easily acting as your portable notebook printer or a replacement for you home printer.

The printer is 12.7” width x 7.2” depth by 2.4” height and a bit over 4 lbs. This allows it to be placed easily in a notebook case or large attaché case for transport. It can generate a 9600 by 2400 dpi 4 inch by 6 inch borderless color image in under a minute and can print 600 by 600 dpi black and white at 20 pages per minute (with a print head that contains over 1,800 nozzles . This printer also comes equipped with Canon’s five-cartridge print system, which improves the color quality of both black and white and color prints. The print trays can hold up to 150 pages in the front and back trays.

And the printer includes several ways to connect to other devices. A USB 2.0 cable allows a connection to Windows or Macintosh personal computers. There is a build in IrDA connector for PDA’s or mobile phones. A Bluetooth 2.0 connector allows access to additional devices. And the computer also connects to cameras and related devices with a PictBridge connection (cable not included). One input item that the printer does not include is a SD and other media card reader.
