Canon’s most popular offering is the PIXMA iP100 Mobile Photo Printer. It has received excellent reviews from satisfied customers for its outstanding performance. Its 5-color ink system and patented print head technology lets you create exceptional borderless photos with up to a maximum 9600 x 2400 dpi resolution in color.
It prints pretty fast too for a mobile printer. A 4×6 borderless photo takes only up to 50 seconds. On draft printing, it produces 20 pages per minute in black and 14 pages per minute in color. With the latest ISO standards set, the iP100 had rated on the ESAT (Estimated Saturation Throughput) 9.0 ipm* in black, and 5.9 ipm in color. (*IPM = ISO Standard Print Methodology)
Compatible with various OS such as Windows®7, Windows Vista™, Windows XP/2000 and Mac OS® X v.10.3.9 to 10.5.x, the PIXMA iP100 offers wireless printing capabilities through its built-in IrDA and the optional BU-30 Bluetooth adapter.
This lightweight portable printer, measuring only 12.7″(W) x 2.4″(H) x 7.2″(D) and weighing 4.4 lbs., can fit easily in your tote bag, or your laptop bag, or on a desk with limited space.
Canon listed its price at $250, whereas you may find it at a lesser price of $190 on Amazon.
Canon imageFORMULA P-150 Portable Scanner
If you want productivity, practicality and value combined, you don’t need to look very far. The imageFORMULA P-150 personal document scanner’s compact size, simple use, and advanced feature-set make document or photo capture easier outside the confines of an office.
Also known as Scan-tini, the P-150 scanner, was designed for professionals and individuals who need to improve their individual productivity and personal efficiency in and out of the office. From the user in a small home office environment, to the business traveler, to the employee who travels frequently, the P-150 scanner has a lot to offer in terms of advanced features to meet their document capture needs.

HP OfficeJet 100 Mobile Printer
HP’s latest offering after the HP H470 mobile printer series, the OfficeJet 100 is an efficient and impressive tool that prints fast at up to 22 pages per minute in black and 18 pages per minute in color. ISO speeds are up to 5 pages per minute in black and 3.5 pages per minute in color.
It produces high quality printing from mobile devices via the built-in Bluetooth wireless technology. You may print directly from any of your Bluetooth enabled devices like the laptop, selected smartphones including Windows Mobile phones, BlackBerry, HPwebOS, and Nokia Symbian.
Its long-life lithium ion battery that is included can print up to 500 pages of laser-quality text and vivid color graphics.
Listed on HP at $280, you can purchase the OfficeJet 100 at Amazon for as low as $191.
HP Scanjet Professional 1000 Mobile Scanner
If scanning on the go is what you need, the HP Scanjet Professional 1000 Mobile Scanner may well be the answer. You may organize all your important documents and store them as digital files on your PC.
Measuring at 11.34 x 3.03 x 1.97 in (W x D x H) and weighing only at 1.40 lb, it is lightweight, compact and portable, you may carry and use it anywhere. Store it in the included carrying case when not in use and easily slip it into your bag or suitcase. You don’t need an AC adapter or batteries to run it, as long as it’s connected to your PC’s Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port!
Scanning is easy with the Scanjet Pro 1000; either with the touch of a button or scan directly from the application you were using. The different file formats it supports are PDF, TIFF, JPEG, and Microsoft Word. Software included in the package is Windows only: TWAIN driver, Nuance PaperPort, Nuance OmniPage, NewSoft Presto! BizCard 6; Mac only: Mac Scanning Utility.
It can scan a variety of paper sizes from business cards to long sheets of up to 8.5 in (W) x 14 in (L). It also has the ability to scan double-sided documents using the manual feed slot.
The Scanjet Professional 1000 is available at the HP store at $220, whereas at Amazon, you may get it for less, just under $200.
Whatever you decide to purchase, any of these combinations of portable printer and scanner will most definitely give you the quality and efficiency that you look for.
