What to Ask Yourself about Printers

Are you on the hunt for the best small photo printers you can find? Well that can be easy enough, but you have to make sure it really is the best, instead of taking a biased businessperson’s word for it. Therefore, here are a couple of questions you absolutely MUST ask yourself before you actually purchase the printer.

First and foremost, you have to know how much space you can afford to use up on your printer. After all, you cannot just let it sit somewhere and hope it does not fall and break, right? So always make sure to get good measurements and ensure your printer’s safety.

Now that you have that out of the way, you should consider if you have a certain brand that you prefer. Brands like HP, Canon, and Epson are well known for making high quality products. From photo printers to the ink in the machine, these companies do their best to satisfy their customers.

Once you have narrowed your search, the next thing to think about is what features you want your printer to have. Maybe you will need to use a special paper for iron-ons or transparencies that teachers will use. Some printers only accept common paper, and others can take in thicker, wider paper. Maybe you make posters for companies; in that case, you need a printer that can do the job.

Another feature to think about is speed. If you are running late for a meeting and need a presentation printed right away, you cannot just wait for the machine to warm up. The ink can make a difference in the speed, as well as the paper. If the ink needs to be heated up, or if you are using different color ink the process will be slowed. That is why you make sure to do the printing in advance!

Now there is a question of warranties and support. After all, even if you do all your research, sometimes the printer you buy simply has a small defect in it. If the printer breaks down because of this, you need to make sure you have a warranty so that you will not be forced to spend a couple hundred dollars on a brand new one.

Some printers automatically come with a yearlong warranty. In some stores, you can get an extended warranty for just a couple dollars more. It is always a good idea to get the extension, just in case anything goes wrong. After all, you should not have to pay for the company’s mistakes.

Once you have bought the perfect printer, you have to make sure that it lasts as long as possible! Now, while you ought to try and clean your printer, using chemicals or harsh brushes will only cause harm to the printer and shorten it’s time as a useful instrument. So only use a lightly damp cloth to wash it, still being careful not to shock yourself of course.

Now that you know what to ask yourself when it comes to buying printers, there is no need to wait any longer!
